Open Doors ministry is visiting the Church on 4 September 2015. Open Doors is a ministry to support the persecuted church around the world. This information night is your opportunity to find out what life is really like for Christians living in the Middle East. To simply have faith in Jesus can bring serious danger, this is particularly true in parts of the Middle East today.

If you want to find out more about Christians who are standing up for their faith all over the world come and join us at 7.00 pm on Friday 4 September as we watch a video called ‘Dangerous Faith’ and talk about persecuted Christians across the world. Admission is free, however, there will be an opportunity at the meeting to make a gift to the persecuted church.
Dangerous Faith

In Egypt, after some difficult years, there is hope for a better future, though this doesn’t necessarily mean greater freedoms for the Church.
In Syria, Open Doors estimates that at least 25% of the Christian population has left the country since the beginning of the civil war in 2011.
In Iraq, the recent actions of the self-proclaimed Islamic State have decimated historic Christian populations.
